Why do some people post on this open forum and then get upset because people read and reply to their public statements?

If you don't want replies, sent your comments in private messages, don;t post publicly and then make a fool of yourself being offensive and telling people, "I wasn't talking to you." LOL

Didn't you read the terms of service? You're supposed to intuit exactly where the poster is coming from, what hidden issues they may have that will be triggered by using the word "the" and whether a conversation on the public posts is actually private.
