Do you ever wonder if some mental health professionals are guilty of gaslighting their clients?

I mean... it wouldn't be impossible... right?

I've seen that employed among colleagues i've worked with.

Every worker was supposed to have what's called 'Supervision sessions' where colleague and their shift Supervisor gets to rant to a manager about what's gone wrong or well lately and 'Supervisor' is supposed to listen. Examine situation, advise and support and encourage worker to let them know they're doing good, they're on the right track....etc.

But i've known several who just don't possess either the skills or the interest in their supervisee. Or worse. Where your establishment has an 'Us and Them' mentality from management to staff so everything becomes about being able to assign 'roles' and blame to individuals !
Among the management team, trust me. Somebody on your shift is going to be known as... 'The Gobby one !' Somebody is going to be 'The Quiet one'. Somebody is going to be 'The Fun one'....etc. And they can/will treat you according to consensus.

Worse thing is, all these sessions were for an hour. Once a month. One-to-one. No 'minutes' of what was discussed or advice given. So becomes the textbook definition of 'Plausible denial' should a 'worker' want to challenge their 'Supervisor' on anything inappropriate that may have been said or not said !

@Picklebobble2 It amazes me that people in HR are paid to come up with that kind of bullshit, our HR departments were always coming up with ways to waste my time.
