Is a woman superior to "god"? [Spirituality & Religion]

Christians claim that their god made the world perfect and all the problems are due to Eve eating an apple. The implication is that "almighty god's" plans were thwarted by a mere woman. :)

Most contemporary women show superior morality to the god some of them worship. They do not kick their kids out of their homes for minor acts of disobedience -- especially when said kids were victims of deception -- nor typically kill them for developing beliefs independently. Most of them do not sit idly by as their offspring die of curable diseases, nor allow abusers to take out their personal problems on them. The same can be said of most men, but arguably to a lesser extent.

@BlueVeinsWould you die for people who hate you. Well He did, because He loves you. I think the human race deserved to be kicked out!

@Carazaa "Saving us" from his own actions through a temporary sacrifice of life doesn't demonstrate love at all. Love would be not hurting people to begin with. And for the record, tons of women have sacrificed their lives so that their children may survive.

It was just an excuse to oppress us in the past. Men have always been scared because we can give birth and take it away, the only other beings in folklore that can do that are Gods :)

Heaven forbid we figured out that our oppression was simple jealousy.

@Quizzical Even in Ancient Greece where they had GODDESSES, women had no property or political rights. It's like Hitler saying he loves animals, despite doing horrible experiments on them and what he did to the Jewish people.

Fertility Goddesses are a GREAT symbol but symbols are not representative of a general attitude when the history points the exact opposite through anti women laws for many centuries dating back to before biblical times and well after.

It all amounts down to power struggles which is what I'm getting at, all of those anti woman sentiments represent power but I also think power and greed, jealousy, fear all go together in a weird twisted way.

@AgapeLove Anyways back to the actual subject, introducing womb envy... they basically explain it better than I do and also give historical examples of men jealous we could give birth and the like.

Here's also another link talking about historically how women were seen as unclean because of our periods (which actually indicate fertility by the way which is not disgusting,) pregnancy and other things.

Could just be mysogianistic bollocks, of course. Or...THE WORST case of sexism EVER known to man (or woman!).
Sue the bastards!!!!

Sums up everything that is wrong with religion
She is definitely superior to the Adam character of the story.

The god wanted to keep things secret from both of these clay experiments to maintain his control and illusion of goodness.

Some outside force called “serpent” basically put Eve on to another aspect of the world her and her mate was in.

She told Adam, and instead of defending his mate when the god came, his punk ass snitched on her. What a coward!

So she got the brunt of the god punishment and wrath in the story.

You know some woman hating male wrote it.

Blatant sexism of the very worst kind in human history. Sue them!!!!
got to keep women in their place with those dogmas because in reality if women had the confidence and self esteem of men the species would probably become extinct.

@PinkPowerRanger Never been good at spotting that... lol
"The whole foundation of Christianity is based on the idea that intellectualism is the work of the Devil. Remember the apple on the tree? Okay, it was the Tree of Knowledge. You eat this apple, you're going to be as smart as God. We can't have that."

Religous men & what they think of women, in a nutshell!!!
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@Harriet03 Oh, I'm sure that there are.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Quizzical So where were They?? That was my point!!!
Your not very bright, are you? 🤦‍♀️
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@Harriet03 This is a snapshot of a meeting, which we cannot see in full.

I'm certainly bright enough not to make assumptions about a photo.

Maybe the women were busy doing other things? Perhaps there are women out of shot.

Do we even know that this WAS a meeting about women's health? We only have the header to tell us.

Have you looked into this further or merely taken the truth of the picture and heading at face value and automatically and unthinkingly bought into the narrative?
The implication is that "almighty god's" plans were thwarted by a mere woman, in a contradiction to "God's will." It gives Christians, and "Christian society," at large, an excuse to blame women for anything.

Not true. Satan lied, and Eve believed the lie, and Adam believed Eve.

@SW-User It's one of the things I did study when I was a christian There are various ways of attempting to explain the contradiction but it's really just a fiction, no different from any other fairy tale.

As if god came to them and revealed his gender. Its just manipulating future that arrives as a child by showing scriptures as proof.

Also represents awareness of vulnerability.
Which caused the anima and animus to depend on eachother to make up for their lackings. The world was neutral without awareness, but once vulnerability is recognised we become aware of the problems that always existed. Thus we find our place in the world through that awareness.

It's actually a pretty awesome annalogy when it's not taken literally and i'm not a christian myself.

Personally I blame the apples
