what do you think of meaningless posts?

I've seen stories/question that are only one sentence or phrase and totally meaningless such as "I'm watching TV now" or "what's your height?" , and when you check the author they got thousands of posts that are mostly the same way. Does Sw give points or some kind of advantage for the count of sorts? Or is it just people who are so empty minded, bored and decided to project their boredom on others?

I used to be on an actual blog site, where instead of a sentence or two, people would write paragraphs and/or short stories.

I have written posts here that have been long, some short. There have been comments made that "I lost them on the first sentence"... I still will write more when I feel like it, but have found that for too many, they're not interested in "stories" or longer posts. They're more interested in not even opening the post to read it, but to just 💗 it instead since that will also add up their coins. 🤷‍♀️

@JerseyGal
you nailed it. Now let's leave together 😂

@inaccessible lol or I go back to writing more like I used to! 😂😊

@JerseyGal I used to write also but that had declined as people don't read no more, I don't support the concept of "write to get it out off your chest" or else would write it in phone notes and get it over with. I've been here for few years and only made my second post this week

Makes people feel connected.

@BexEyes Yes, I'd think that's why.

I think individuals feel that if you view their profile and see that they have 100+ posts, you will be more interested in contacting them. Also, SW does give points and it gives them "Self Esteem" to be "rewarded"

@inaccessible Thank you 😊

I've noticed that people take cues from other social media about how they should be using any social media. Some people use this as Facebook, some as Instagram, some as Twitter. I tend to see it differently, but who is to say any of us are wrong? We are a democracy and the site is what we make it.

@GlassDog
you make a point that pivots around social media....SOCIAL :) , they don't socialise that way

What's meaning anyway?

@CheshireCatalyst
sharing an experience or asking for help...that was the essence of ExperienceProject

It's like starting a conversation; someone might reply "Oh I'm watching TV as well!", and then "Hey what are you watching buddy?", and so on. Just everyday talk, on a virtual platform.

@helenS
I think I gotta be weird, since I'm probably the only one that's bugged at this matter

I think sometimes people just feel like talking even if there’s nothing much to talk about.

I get that, and if they're bored and make post saying "I'm bored, hit me up" I end up having a chat with them.

@LongDistanceRecon636
hit me up if you're bored 😉
People have different approaches, some are bored, others shy or socially awkward. There’s always the option of muting the person in order to stop seeing their posts.
