Anyone else just get depressed when you think about how the world could operate as opposed to how it does?

Frequently feel that our incentive systems are all backward and that we could be so much happier or better off with just a couple of changes regarding definitions of success. And then I get really sad about how off track we seem to be.

The big issue is "Fear" fear sold in many ways, in each second of each day.
If everyone had a home, had food, fresh water......
People would still be unhappy. ....
Why - Fear
We fear.
Been alone
Dying alone
Not been accepted
Not been loved
Not been understood
Taken care in old age

The physical aspect of living such as food, shelter, water is important. Yet, the mind and how we think of ourselves is the bigger key to living a successful life. True success is not to have fear dominate, fear eats away at the core, when everything else is taken care of, to have no fear is success.

Fear that the planet is doomed is our current fear.....

@SoFine True, a big issue is fear but having any of the fears you mentioned doesn't have anything to do with how the world operates, which is the topic here. It's more like a fear of terrorist attacks, going to hell and the big one.. the unknown. Fear and ignorance is used to run and ruin this world

@Redstar the world operates - My family that live close to Johannesburg know real, big life struggle. Each day is a day to get home safe or wake up, to live the next day. They know real terror. We hear it, we very really see it, we hear it on the news.
We may have .001% of been harmed, they have 100% of been harmed.
I am grateful to live in Australia, I would be dead or rapped if I stayed in South Africa.
