The flaw in what you are saying is that cops do not always employ violence when responding to a call...most of the time a situation is remedied smoothly and peaceably without incident.

@cutiepi22 There are that is true...however I have called the cops many times for one reason or another throughout my life and I have seen them called by others...I am 51 years old and have only seen 1 time that it ended in violence (and it was the perpetrator who caused it). My wife is a former cop herself and she will attest to the fact that they are trained to diffuse situations before it gets to that point.

Well if my houes was being robbed or my family being abused. I would call the cops. What else can I do? Ignore it?

Violence is quite often the answer actually
