Silly question but if u had a house guest...

If u had a house guest would u be comfortable them just going into your room without permission or mentioning they are going in just to use ur mirror... esp when there is a mirror in the guests room & the main bathroom....?

Regardless if the house guest is a family member or not? In my case it's my brother & keeps going into my & my hubby room to use the mirror... the en suite... to & sit & read... like come on! Has to be some boundaries!

I never minded my friends being in my bedroom but yeah just some random acquaintance sounds annoying and creepy

@SW-User it's my brother but if it was just me I was care less but I'm married so think my bro shld respect OUR boundaries not just mine

@BondGirl84 Um it’s your brother tell him to piss off😂

@SW-User I have done lol :) but he gets annoyed if anyone swears at him... he's 44 & still runs to mummy & daddy & says I swore at him! He's a fucking child!

@BondGirl84 why do your parents have a say when you’re adults?
BondGirl84 · 36-40, F
@SW-User my brother is mildly autistic & they have usually favoured him over me & my sister. Also we are Indian so it's a thing to favour the son. They baby him esp cos he is autistic but they never got him any help etc that said they are siding with me & my sister a bit more recently. Yes I agree with u we are adults & we shld fix it ourselves but my bro wud never listen to me as he still thinks of my as the baby (sonetimes an actual baby) of the family & also our parents will always side with him & baby him therefore can act anyway he wants

@BondGirl84 That makes sense and I’m Indian too so I get what you mean but you need to do something or your brother will use autism as an excuse for bad behaviour forever

@SW-User well in a way he is better than what he used to be but will usually listen to my mum so thinking I'll have a word but ask my mum to have a word too to re-enforce it... I don't want to resort to that but he needs to have boundaries.... even at a close friend or other family member I'd never go into their bedrooms without reason or with their permission! Thank u tho!

That can make it a challenge.
Boundaries are not obvious to ppl on the spectrum.

Need to gently explain.
Many times.
And hope....
