Being open minded is good when it’s grounded in fact.

If by open-minded you mean that you will believe anything anyone says without evidence then metaphorically, yes. Open-minded to me just means that you are open to accepting whatever conclusion the evidence leads to. Believing anything is actually closed-minded in my opinion because then you are completely ignoring any evidence that counters your claims.
