Not all of it

Wraithorn · 56-60, M
Yes, the whole thing. Why ? Because I'm the son of a preacher man and I was expected to read it. Unfortunately the conclusion that I eventually arrived at after many yrs of thought and research is that the Bible is unoriginal, plagiarized and mistranslated. That's not a popular opinion but that's what I think.
Fernie · F
@Wraithorn I think that opinion is becoming more and more popular
Wraithorn · 56-60, M
@Fernie That is possible. Modern Humans are starting to ask more questions about religious doctrines. One of the questions I recommend Christians ask themselves is,"When and how were the books of the new testament compiled?"
Most Christians never ask themselves how the Bible came to exist. I don't see the point in placing one's faith in a book if one doesn't even know how it came to exist.
Yes but not all of it, I was raised catholic, so in school we'd read some passages, I enjoyed some of the stories, I found them to be inspirational... I respect all religions... I'm just tired of hearing how one religion is better than the other... let's just believe in what we want to believe in without judging others or forcing it upon them... no one knows the truth, until the day we die....

I have never sat down and read it cover to cover no, but I am fairly familiar with it because I was raised in Christianity/church, I went through Christian school all the way to graduation, and I studied it on my own trying to find answers when I was exploring (and questioning) my faith and beliefs...so I have read quite a bit of it yes.

From cover to cover twice, that's why I'm a Atheist! ✌

I used to read it when I was bored in church - found it fascinating and even though I'm not particularly religious, bought my own - some of the stories in there are amazing and it's funny how many of them are commonly known...why do you ask?

The bible's ok I guess. Sometimes I'll rip pages from it and roll a joint.
Well I've read alot of the old testament which has over 900 chapters.

I skimmed through the new testament that has less than 300 chapters

Why?

Just to get a sence of religion in my life

I had started to at one time but didn't finish it. Maybe some day I will.

Yes...like most kids...I was forced to read the buybull with threats of burning in hell if I didn't...I was assigned someone else's beliefs...I'm glad I did read it though because it woke me up and I became a staunch Atheist

Tbh I prefer decent well written books instead of that random bullshit. Also if I go to mythology I prefer to read the "original" stories not the slightly modified one just to be fit in the stupid christ bullshit.
