At what age...

Should kids stop using a dummy/pacifier?

Is 2 & a half years of age too old?
hlpflwthat · M
When they can use a cup.

No. Limited use of a pacifier is perfectly okay right up to age 4. Any use past age 4 could affect the childs teeth.

@4meAndyou reckon it won't have an affect on teeth from the age of 2?

@BondGirl84 I googled it, and the prevailing dental school of thought is that you can let them suck on their paci up to age 4 without harm.

@4meAndyou yea it's 'thought' my point was that some parents reply on it to keep kids quiet or to delay weening kids off it or yes it may cos harm on teeth in long run...

yea I'd say that's too old, because they have many teeth by then. Pacifier may mess with the proper growth of their teeth.
