The term paraphilia refers to intense sexual attraction to any objects or people outside of genital stimulation with consenting adult partners. A paraphilia is considered a disorder when the paraphilia is causing distress or threatens to harm someone else.

A paraphilia is a condition in which a person's sexual arousal and gratification depend on fantasizing about and engaging in sexual behavior that is atypical and extreme. A paraphilia is distinguished by a preoccupation or kink over an object or behavior to the point of being dependent on that object or behavior for sexual gratification.

Paraphilias include sexual behaviors that society may view as distasteful, unusual or abnormal. It could include, exhibitionism, voyeurism, or frotteurism. It often involves fetishism (use of inanimate objects), sexual masochism (being humiliated or forced to suffer), sexual sadism (inflicting humiliation or suffering) and transvestic disorder (sexually arousing cross-dressing) are far less common.

Some of these behaviors are illegal like peeping through someones window because of voyeurism, but some of these behaviors and simply embarrassing but not illegal, like an adult wearing a diaper for pleasure.

They are not all the same though for example you have paraphilic infantalism where they want to be treated like a baby and simply diaper lovers who just want to be diapered, often as punishment. The fantasies around this vary widely those are just two common examples.
