I don’t hate anyone, but those two rank pretty high in terms of annoyances

@1455spd How does someone else's happiness annoy you? Are you so unhappy that you can't stand to see others loving life?

@Serenitree If I'm trying to gather my thoughts or enjoy a walk or read in a park, but have my focus broken by some giggling halfwit or some little tyrant with no volume-control, it gets pretty annoying

@1455spd I get it. Now! But I can't say I agree. The misery is worse.
A mother out with her kids...fighting on her cell phone, telling her kids to shut the f up. Blowing smoke at them when she's yelling at them.
A couple walking through a peaceful park where you're trying to enjoy some sun and reading time, and they are arguing. Being abusive to each other.
A drunk stumbling past you, tripping over your feet and getting angry, because you are where he's stumbling and so it must be your fault.
A person grieving because they just got dumped, or beaten, or cheated on. Screaming about wishing they were dead.
I'd much rather hear laughter, and happy kids running and working off some of that energy. you're young, don't you remember needing to run, yell, chase pigeons, try to fly off walls and benches, and spraying people with water guns? You're much too young, to sound like a grumpy old man.

@Serenitree Never had that kind of childhood. Probably why I sound like a grumpy old man. But in my experience, while those things can be annoying too, they are a lot less common. It wasn't a part of the question so I didn't bring it up

@1455spd If you never had the opportunity to have that kind of joy in your life., that's really sad.

@Serenitree Welcome to my world

@1455spd No, thanks. I'll stay on my side of the gate. It seems much sunnier here.
