For those who were born after 1970, if you had been around in the 60's do you think you would have been a hippie?

I feel fairly certain that I would have been.

I was too young to be a hippie, but I'm old enough to remember them. A lot of the hippie era has been glamourized. For the most part it wasn't that good.

@SW-User I'm sure you would be. All I'm saying is that a lot of people were disappointed that it wasn't the utopia they imagined it would be.

@AlienZipper Most of it was created by the corporate news media to sell advertising. It scared most people and attracted others. I think Jackson Browne summed it up best: "We started out so young and strong, only to surrender."
