@nedkelly Well three of those four things sound like something that pretty much nobody could object to. You're telling me you DON'T want everyone to have healthcare, and be treated equally? And who doesn't like free food?

Regardless, if you feel that way then that kinda aligns you with liberalism, because liberals want people to have healthcare funded by public money, which would lessen rich people's ability to get healthcare just by throwing their money around.

@hahaheheuhhaha Isn't that the point of taxes? Everyone pays a little bit of money and all that money goes towards something that helps the entire population of the country. I live in America. Right now, I pay high taxes. And that tax money is used to buy guns and bombs to kill people in other countries. It's also used to give massive welfare checks of ultra-rich companies just for existing. Wouldn't you think I'd rather my tax money be used to pay for something that actually does me good? Like upkeeping the roads I drive on or paying for hospitals I can go to if I get sick or injured or paying for schools that I can attend to get an education?

@nedkelly Oprah would be paying more because the hospital, under a "healthcare for all" system, is funded by taxpayer money. And since Oprah is extremely wealthy, she pays a hell of a lot more money in taxes than the person with Down syndrome. Which should be the case. If a working class citizen pays X percentage of their money in taxes, then rich people should have to pay a similar percentage.

@hahaheheuhhaha Then they can be employed at other jobs that pay equally good and are much more productive. Right now we're just throwing our money down a hole with a near-trillion dollar annual military budget that goes towards continuing the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Sure, it creates lots of jobs for the people who have to produce the firearms, vehicles, and military equipment used to fight, as well as the soldiers who do the actual fighting, but what the fuck are we doing invading foreign countries that didn't attack us and killing their people, while our own citizens are in borderline wage slavery? 45,000 people in America die yearly from a lack of access to basic healthcare but we can't spend any money to remedy that situation because we have to use the money to produce weapons of war so we can kill people who present no threat to us.
