What is the appeal of a show like the Walking Dead?

I mean seriously. Why would any normal human being want to watch a zombie eating someone's brain?

What is the appeal of even watching TV? It is a total waste of time. I don't own one.

@hunkalove Certainly the best approach.
Although I sometimes watch silly TV shows when I have worked too much and can’t sleep.
