What's something your parents did that you never understood until you were an adult?

wouldnt let me hang out with the kid up the road..

I'm a teen and spankings was something I questioned and now I see why kids grow up not being disciplined I'm glad I was

Physical discipline.

Nothing that my parents did are making sense now that I am an adult. Only realizing how toxic they were but that doesn’t mean I don’t love them though.
