Arg! Went into the doctor for a follow up on what was probably bronchitis and now they wanna talk about my chest pain, shortness of breath and

@SW-User Yeppa, pretty much what I think it is too, so I’ve already cut out spicy food and drastically reduced the soda intake and I keep Zantac on hand.

@Zaphod42 things are likely to improve.

@Zaphod42 they'll probably recommend that you get the 24 hour pill, and take it once a day. Little things will help; no eating heavy foods after 6 pm, sleep with your head slightly elevated, get rid of greasy food as well as spicy, and make sure you are getting enough water every day.

@SW-User I’ve already stopped (mostly) eating after 5pm, but I draw the line at greasy food...life isn’t worth living without bacon double cheeseburgers 😂

@Zaphod42 just eat it early in the day, once in a while, and take the zantac half hour before.

@Zaphod42 good boy. I'll bill you lol. One other thing. If they suggest tests, find out what they're looking for, and have them done, for your peace of mind. Keep me posted on what they say.

@SW-User I already had blood drawn for a test or three a month ago...not sure what it was for though. I think cholesterol was one of them, and I already know that’s high. Not sure what the other two were though

@Zaphod42 probably one was a CBC, or complete blood count..the other probably was to rule out infection

@SW-User yeah, that sounds about right. I came in the first and was given a tentative diagnosis of bronchitis, but instead of antibiotics he told me to stop taking the allergy pills unless I actually really needed it and to breath in steam twice a day and drink only hot liquids for 3 weeks. It actually worked too! Mostly anyway. My lungs feel clear, but I’m still short of breath from whatever that was that happened yesterday. I didn’t tell them I though it was a mild heart attack, but I did give them the symptoms I felt and am still feeling.

@Zaphod42 hopefully, they give you an ECG to figure it out.

@SW-User I had an EKG done last time I felt that way and it was normal. I took my blood pressure at home after the pain subsided and it was more or less normal 🤷

@Zaphod42 sounds like GERD then, which is manageable

@SW-User oh seriously? GERD can feel like that? Even the exhaustion after an event? That would be amazingly awesome news!

Exhaustion is a pretty broad symptom. I'd order further tests...
