Why do we have 5 fingers?

I have four fingers and a thumb

Im a freak. I have 10.

One for every day of the week (sat and sun not included)

Most mammals have 4 or 5 digits on their hands and feet including our relatives the ape, their purpose is clear, just use your hands, see how it helps with holding and gripping things :)

Technically it’s only 4 on each hand 🤭. But who’s counting. 🤪

In case someone has not said it yet....We do not have 5 fingers, we only have 4 four and one thumb. So that's 8 fingers and two thumbs.

The thumb is so we can pick up things, do multiple tasks I think

We need a middle finger and three would just be weird.

I have 8 fingers, 2 thumbs and 10 toes.
