Think about it. Everyone will be pissed, but ultimately people won't do shit and they'll just buy another car. So if they say something like by 2022 all cars on the road must be electric, there will be a massive surge in sales for the car companies. This will also cut the competition from the smaller companies that don't have electric models.

Tesla is the fastest growing car company, but Toyota and Chevrolet both sell more electric cars then Tesla. They're probably waiting for that moment when their production numbers will meet the surge in demand, and Tesla is likely a thorn in the side of the big boys.

Just some thoughts.

@MarmeeMarch Most oil used for fuel goes to fueling ships. There's also still diesel trains (at least in Canada and the US, that I know) jets and air planes, boats, rockets, small engines and any car that gets grand fathered. In most countries, that aren't the US, oil production is nationalised and globalists like Trudeau would love nothing more than to cut oil production at the cost of his country's economy. Hell, he's already doing that.

@MarmeeMarch And some countries, like China and India, won't force electric cars on it's population. Only the stupid countries like Canada and Sweden will do that.
@ZeroFox So in 2017 about 142 billion gallons x 3.70 per gallon = about 525 billion dollars is not going to be felt ?

AUTOMOBILES ALONE

@MarmeeMarch Do those number represent just the US market or global?

@MarmeeMarch Also, remember in Canada oil production is nationalised. So if they want to cut production they can and will, the government owns the oil company. It's like that in most counties.
