How cold is too cold for you and how hot is too hot?

I have endured sub-zero temperatures during my time in North Dakota to find that I can tolerate brutal winters much better than hot summers. However, I do have my limits. Anything above zero is perfectly tolerable to me, whether it be ‎5℉ or ‎20℉. Anything above zero, I can handle. Hell, I could even enjoy those temperatures. As far as the heat goes, my tolerance for it is much lower. I'd say after 85℉ I won't be able to stop bitching about how hot it is.

I'm pretty tolerant to temperature change and I usually wear the same jacket when going outside regardless of temperature, sub zero or in the 90's. Too cold for me(when I have to break out the gloves and hat) is like mid 20 F and below. At that point, my hands lose feeling and dexterity and feel like they are burning. For heat, like 100 F, which is where it could get dangerous.

@deadgerbil Yeah, no kidding. It's why my state is always on fire. The heat waves are brutal. Anything below zero gives me nosebleeds. I didn't even know that someone could bleed from the cold weather until I spent a winter in North Dakota.

The coldest I've ever had to be outside in was -22°f. 0°f for weeks is quite common in winter here so it's tolerable. 80's is my limit for heat but 90s and 100's are also common. 😑

@deadmoon Wisconsin

Oh yeah, Wisconsin gets freezing from what I heard. I am surprised about the 90s and 100s. I thought the summers were much more mild compared to other Midwestern states.

@deadmoon cold is normal lol. We get quite toasty in the summer.

For me, ideal is between 40 and 70 degrees F....anything higher or lower is getting into the intolerable range. I used to be able to take hotter or colder temps but that has changed considerably as I've gotten older.
Anything topping 100, in a dry, desert heat is where I sign off.
Near zero with really damp air is bone chilling.
Well below Zero, especially with biting wind, I cant take.

The coldest for me is anything below 6 degree Celcius and hottest is probably all the male models undressing themselves

Too cold: under 50F
Too hot: Above 95F.

@Myzery You would love California, lol. It's rarely ever under 50F and most summer days are within 90-95 degrees with some heat waves between 100F-120F in between. But most days are in the 90s.
Myzery · 41-45, F
@deadmoon I don't enjoy days in the 90s. I can tolerate them. Lol
deadmoon · 31-35, F
@Myzery Lucky you, lol. I not only don't enjoy them, I can't even tolerate them. I don't leave my house for anything other than the absolute necessary once temperatures reach above 85 degrees and if I must go out for social or familial reasons, I try to wait until nightfall when temperatures cool down to the 70s, which is probably the most our nights cool down on 90+ degree days.

Below 25 degrees is tooooo cold and above 80 degrees is too hot. I prefer cold though
deadmoon · 31-35, F
@Scarlet5 Haha, you have a very high tolerance for the cold. I like that. Most people I know can't tolerate anything less than 65 degrees, lol.
