After reading some of the comments, it's obvious people here have very little survival experience.

I would bring:
A knife
A length of rope
A frying pan

@MartinTheFirst On a deserted island water isn't an issue, but you will need to clean it and/or remove salt. Also, you will want to cook your food right?
