Just back from a drive in Donegal. I spotted two roadside signs directed at tourists saying "Come and Experience a Real Irish Wake". Wonder what they

pay the lead role?

My kid brother once asked how much they paid people to get killed in movies.

@Mamapolo2016 HaHa. Now's his chance to find out!
@alan20 Your wake story IS funny. "I've got good bews and bad news. Good news is, I found work..."
@alan20 And have you ever wondered why they call it a "wake" when the honoree ain't gonna?

@Mamapolo2016 It could be wishful thinking. The smell of the booze might seep through and produce "Where's my share?"
@alan20 I've watched a man pour beer into his feeding tube. For some, it might work.

@Mamapolo2016 I don't know if this is still the case but in a certain local hospital they used to give patients who wanted it, Guinness. Apparently it's full of iron. Didn't give the patient much of an incentive to get better though.

@Mamapolo2016 Researched this for you. I'm told that in years gone by medical diagnoses weren't that accurate. However unlikely, the deceased could really be in a coma. So as a precaution the body was kept for three days before burial just in case it woke. Now we both know.
