To straight edge people: how do you do that?

Like drugs and alcohol makes things so much easier to deal with. I have to hit the Dutch every day before work or else I will snap at everyone. I’m a short tempered person lol but when I’m high I’m so calm and friendly 😂 the same when I sneak in booze with me. I mean I do it on my days off too but I save my pills for then. Idk man it just makes life easier. I couldn’t imagine life sober again, I’m so much happier now, and I used to talk shit that I would never drink or do drugs.

Even as a drug user myself, that is really depressing to hear someone say.

Idk man it just makes life easier. I couldn’t imagine life sober again, I’m so much happier now, and I used to talk shit that I would never drink or do drugs.

Regardless, straight edge doesn't appeal to me because of their opposition to violence. No drugs, no booze, and no sex sounds fine to me, especially that last one. But no violence?! What's the point of a punk subculture if you can get into fights?
