More than 50% of the species on earth went extinct because of humans. So are humans as a whole , evil?

You cannot make a comment saying that someone else is cutting those forests and destroying the soil. You still take the blame because you're part of humanity.

If an alien species invaded our planet and decided to study humans , they can ultimately conclude that we are evil just by looking at the amount of damage we did.

But do we feel evil? Are we evil? No we don't because we aren't trying to destroy other species out of pure hate. We do it because of our own selfish reasons - whether it be greed or progress .

So is evil justifiable if your intentions aren't evil in the first place?

Ultimately all of this poses a greater question. What is good and what is evil? How do you define them?

Taking blame is a waste of time and energy. Responsibility is different, it means doing things to rectify a wrong situation.

Evil and good are human concepts. Who knows if beings outside of earth use the words or care for the consequences.

Everything is justifiable. Not everything is logical.
@Miram so I can murder millions of people and can die with a happy conscience?

@marcusaurelius I have no idea how that's related to my answer 🤷 I am sure some people can.
@Miram I'm talking about everything is justifiable part.

@marcusaurelius Let me rephrase that, you can provide a justification for anything.

justifiable
ˈdʒʌstɪˌfʌɪəb(ə)l/
adjective
able to be shown to be right or reasonable; defensible.
"it is financially justifiable"

Justifiable doesn't mean it is a logical justification or right. It is just showing you are right.
