Why honest people suffer a lot rather than dishonest people?

Perhaps some are persecuted for their frankness but I believe the person who lies to themselves suffer most of all

Because all the people who say that they prefer bitter truth over pretty lies are lying. A lot of them.

being honest isn't as easy as it seems

They don't take short cuts.. and they are patient. They are on the lookout for what they want and just don't fall for all the glitters or change their perspective. They actually don't suffer but others think that they suffer since they don't sibscribe to many of the world's nonsense.

The dishonest people suffer plenty. They just lie about it.

Why do you think dishonest people don't suffer?

I would pretty diametrically opposed to your post’s statement. Lying might take away immediate consequences but in the long term it is a losing method.
