Do you think Donald Trump will be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize before or after he starts his second term as President ?

Never. They award the Nobel to people who actually accomplish something. And Trump won't even survive one term, let alone run again.
Nimbus · M
@windinhishair That, as yet, is unknown.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@windinhishair Well how did Obama win a Nobel Prize after just 12 days in office
MartinII · 70-79, M
@windinhishair You know perfectly well that Obama was awarded the prize before he had done anything. And while no-one can know, the betting at the moment must surely be on President Trump getting a second term.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@nedkelly I agree with you on Obama, and I said it at the time. People were so thrilled after the disaster that was the Bush Administration that to finally have someone in office who would bring some intelligence to the White House and US policy that they made the award on that basis. I don't agree with it, but at least one can understand their rationale. In Trump's case, he's been played by KJU, and gave up much more than he received.

@MartinII Trump's popularity and job approval hover in the low 40s. No way does that convert to a second term. And you overlook the criminality that the Mueller investigation is documenting. The chances of re-election based on the current situation are very small.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Ask a bookmaker.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@MartinII I don't know the current odds, but Ladbrokes had the odds at 7/4 against even completing his first term, let alone running for a second. That was a couple of months ago, but not much has changed.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Bet you a nickel you are dead wrong....again. And what exactly has mueller found against President Trump?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 We'll have to wait and see when he issues his report, but all of the indictments clearly indicate collusion on the part of his campaign. Especially the last one against the Russian government representative who was colluding with Manafort.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Had I known that, I’d have had a very substantial investment! I know I suggested asking a bookmaker, but on reflection, my experience is that they are quite good at horses, not very good at politics!
smmartydude · 36-40, M
@windinhishair The only reason his approval rating is that low is because a lot of people who support him will not do so openly because they are afraid of the ridiculous backlash of the liberals. I can't even open my mouth about supporting Trump where I work unless I want 5 other people jumping down my throat, so I keep it to myself. However, when voting, no one knows how you vote, so I believe he will still win just like last time when they thought he had no chance.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Which indictments?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 You can find a list of Mueller's indictments on any news website. Even Fox News.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@smmartydude I think there is some of that, but he doesn't even have the level of support he had going into the last election. The first time was a perfect storm. It isn't going to happen again.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair All I can find are a few process crimes, such as forgetting what time somebody called somebody else, and alleged crimes that happened years before individuals were involved in the winning party's campaign. Please enlighten me on the collusion question, and if so, the relevant statues that were broken.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Konstantin Kilimnik was indicted within the past week for his actions on behalf of Manafort. Kilimnik was also involved directly with the campaign through Gates and others. He's a known Russian spy with ties to the Kremlin.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair And when did the alleged cooperation between the two occur?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Manafort and Kilimnik's actions go back before the election. Rick Gates and Kilimnik were working with each other during the campaign up to a month before the election.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair So actively working on a campaign to defeat an opponent is now illegal? Whoda thunk it.!
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 It has always been illegal for foreign governments to interfere in our electoral process. That you now accept it as not only normal but desirable says much about you.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Kinda like Chris Steele? Whoops, forgot he was working against the Republican campaign. Never mind.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Chris Steele was hired by Republican opposition. And he's not a representative of the UK government. That's the difference.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Yes, spies do not represent a government. And he was just using his buddies in Russia to make up crap. Keep spinning, this is getting amusing.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Yes, you are very amusing indeed. The dossier looks more and more accurate the more comes to light about the trump campaign and its Russian ties. The Kool-Aid clearly flows through your veins.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair So your objective is to prosecute all 21,000+ folks who worked on the successful candidate's campaign, just because you lost?
