My sister's death often haunts me

Because I could have done something, but she ended up dead because I was too scared to report it to the police. She had died from the s*xual and physical abuse by my stepdad and mother. They ended up going to jail, but are getting released next year, though.

Don’t you think your sister understands? Wouldn’t you?

It is my belief we have important and joyful things to do in the existence that follows this one and will not have time or inclination to blame anyone for anything.

If your sister is angry at you for anything, it’s for letting those terrible people spoil one more moment of your earthly life.

Your sister is no longer wounded and frightened.

@Mamapolo2016 Thank you very much for your words, but it's difficult. I feel guilty even though I should not.
@Poet123 Should/shouldn’t doesn’t have much to do with guilt. But I’ll throw this one in for free. ☺

The past is over and finished. We can’t alter it. The only way to bury guilt is to have a positive impact.

Do what you can to help other children in trouble. Do everything you can to ensure your baby on the way and the woman you love never spend a moment in terror. Try to turn that hate, which is destructive to you and everyone around you into love for valuable people. Anger is healthy and justified in your case, but hate doesn’t hurt them. It hurts you and yours. If they cared if you hated them they would not have been hateful.

@Mamapolo2016 Thank you for your advice. I will try to follow it, but it's difficult.
@Poet123 It all takes work, love. It starts by recognizing where you're going in your head and diverting to another path. I wish you well.
