What is the best way to get out of an appartment lease?

Found a new and better location and want to move. However one of the roommates is locked in a couple more months. Does anyone have any suggestions

Maybe sublet to other people, talk to the landlord that you want to do that and then maybe they can extend the lease after this one is up. Otherwise just pay the two months and get out early.
