You do not have to be overweight to have type 2 diabetes.

Yes you do@Keepitsimple

@Keepitsimple that is why one is a type one and the other type two

Weight gain causes diabetes type two especially if it fluctuates not total weight loss but weight going up n down does

@IAMMONARAHIMI This indicates obesity may aid in the development of diabetes - it does not say it is caused by obesity. Correlation is not causation.

Diabetes is the result of the body's inability to efficiently use insulin and is associated with many factors.

I don't know that I trust Google search results is a credible medical source.

@Graylight ok read this then

Google is not a reliable source for medical/health concerns. Weight can be a factor, but is not the reason why everyone who has it, has it. Most people I know with diabetes are not in the slightest bit overweight. Type one or type two.

What other facts or research should I use, Wikipedia???@butterfly1013
butterfly1013 · 26-30, F
@IAMMONARAHIMI i mean...yeah... there are lots of books written on the subject that I am sure won't leave you as confused as google. Google can help in a way and help to narrow things down a bit, but you don't want to use that as your only source. It's always good to ask your doctor as many questions about it also and take notes.

@butterfly1013 yeah sometimes books can be fictional too
butterfly1013 · 26-30, F
@IAMMONARAHIMI there are books written on different diseases including diabetes that are not fictional and are based on true facts why would someone write a whole book about diabetes and it be fictional? What is the purpose behind that, foesn't make any sense. I can give you a website i go to that can be of help. Not used to diagnos anyone, but you are able to talk to a certified doctor for free. I have used it and the doctor I have on there has helped me get through my most recent diagnosis as well.
