You do not have to be overweight to have type 2 diabetes.

@IAMMONARAHIMI i mean...yeah... there are lots of books written on the subject that I am sure won't leave you as confused as google. Google can help in a way and help to narrow things down a bit, but you don't want to use that as your only source. It's always good to ask your doctor as many questions about it also and take notes.

@butterfly1013 yeah sometimes books can be fictional too

@IAMMONARAHIMI there are books written on different diseases including diabetes that are not fictional and are based on true facts why would someone write a whole book about diabetes and it be fictional? What is the purpose behind that, foesn't make any sense. I can give you a website i go to that can be of help. Not used to diagnos anyone, but you are able to talk to a certified doctor for free. I have used it and the doctor I have on there has helped me get through my most recent diagnosis as well.

I'm not sure that you have to be overweight to have any type of diabetes. My grandma has it and is nowhere near overweight. I could be wrong, but yeah. Having diabetes can depend on a lot of different factors and yes for some people your weight can play a big role in it. As far as the pancrease goes from what I know of it, does store your body's insulin in some way.
