Did you know global warming is made up?

I know the science behind it all but I am curious if others know about it.

Wanna come to my university and lecture all the scientists who went to school for ten years in order to spend every single day researching its causes impacts as a full-time job?

They also have the legally protected right to say what they want and research what they want free from any interference including the university, the government, or private entities.

Why are they wrong and you right?
@CountScrofula why are they right?

@CountScrofula Yes why are they right? Did you know that if you are a climatologist you can only get research grants right now if you are willing to conform to only studying why the climate is impacted by humans? You cannot get funding for any other reason. There are actually MANY scientists that claim that climate is driven by the sun. Its hilarious people dont believe this to be true. I challenge you to stand in the morning before sunrise and feel the temperature change when the sunlight hits you and then claim that the sun does not drive our climate lol I do know the science and I could take all of them for a ride. If they claim that BS they are just pawns begging for research grants.

Oh and they are not free. They are conforming for money. People have done more for less. When you need money you will say what they want you to say. Or some would anyways.

@questionWeaver It's about playing the odds. With academic freedom, the fact scientists argue with each other all the time, and hugely broad consensus, the odds that they are all collectively incompetent or falsifying research are astronomically low.

It is made even lower considering the massive amount of money available for people who are willing to deny or be skeptical global warming. People are trying VERY HARD to prove this is a hoax, and if they were right, the scientific consensus should have changed by now. So there is incredible incentive to break away from the pack, yet very few do.
@CountScrofula that makes sense
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@S33K3R Sure they're free. I have had personal involvement in negotiating their legal right to say and research what they want.

Paying people to falsify academic research is an INCREDIBLE violation of academic freedom. And yet you're saying that almost everyone is doing it? Come on.

You're also accusing personal friends and colleagues of mine of lying to me for money.

Many do actually. You just dont hear about them because they dont have the research funding. There are thousands of scientists you dont know their names because they aren't funded with advertisements. There are plenty of people who support sun driven climate change. Just look up "grand solar minimum". Here is the science since you are so interested in the subject.

Sunspots are stopping. This is called solar minimum. There is a 350 year cycle called grand solar minimum. That is what we are entering now. This causes the earths atmosphere to expand as the solar wind lessens, the suns heliosphere shortens and this exposes earth to more cosmic rays. The lessened pressure from the solar wind also causes earths atmosphere to expand. Causing temperatures to decrease in upper atmosphere. Record cold temps were detected in the ionosphere last year. This is why people are seeing halos around the sun now. This colder temp also causes hail to be HUGE and way more common. Because earth is exposed to more cosmic rays cloud cover increases. Look up how cosmic rays seed clouds. The increase cosmic rays can mutate DNA, scientists have theorized that this mutation is maybe the thing that drives evolution? Also with this lessened pressure on earth and expanded atmosphere and more clouds the weather systems get HUGE. They are much taller and more wide. This means flooding and landslides from increased precipitation. The low pressure systems are much more powerful too because they are taller. That is why the coastal cities are getting much more storm surge than normal. Maybe you should pay attention to what is happening around the world and you will see this more? Also because of the changing pressure. Faults are more likely to go POP. That means pressure is releasing geologically, more volcanic activity, more earthquakes.

All verified science. Look it up. The reason nobody is talking about it is because food is getting hard to grow and the economy is going to crash as a result. Certain food prices have doubled in India recently. That is happening all over the world right now. We are in a time of ignorance, soon this all will be confirmed. They are just barely starting to acknowledge what many scientists have been saying for many years. This was first discovered by a scientist with the last name Wolf. I cant remember his first name. He lived in the 1800's nobody listened. In the 60's they discovered it mainstream and kept it quiet through controlling research grants and advertisement. Now with all this craziness and people saying "its not hot" WTF. Now they are starting to allow scientists to release the actual findings instead of propaganda.

@CountScrofula When a research grant is created are there not terms of the grant that say. We are looking for scientists to research the human causes of climate change? If a scientist accepts that grant are they free to have alternative findings and still receive grant funding?
S33K3R · 36-40, F
@S33K3R BTW here is a link to the climate change research happening. Nothing about sun driven climate change.... Which is crazy if you ask me. Why are they blocking this research?

@S33K3R > If a scientist accepts that grant are they free to have alternative findings and still receive grant funding?

Research grants work in that grants are created to cover various topics and you then apply for the grant and get it or don't. You don't go into research with an answer, you go with a question.

However, my point here and what's key is that the real money is in climate change denial. Read this study, and realize where you get your ideas from.

If I talk to a colleague of mine, I can be sure this is an independent thinker who is not being required to believe a certain political or scientific line to get his paycheque. He is paid a six figure salary to study what he wants to study.

The notion that he would see "Oh wait, climate change is all bullshit" and then take money and NOT go screaming to tell the world is incredibly insulting.

And if I go talk to a popular climate skeptic, you follow the money, and there's an oil company at the end of the rainbow every god damn time.
S33K3R · 36-40, F
No oil company here. Just science. Who is your friend where do I find their research? Do they explain why all of these things are happening or do they just run around talking about C02? C02 does follow temperature. That is a fact. Right now its not actually, because the climate is cooling and C02 is going up. So who is this person and how can I see their explanation of why everything I just mentioned is happening?

The problem I have with global warming scientists is that they dont really explain why humans are causing the climate to change. They talk briefly about the c02 and then they go into all of this doomsday stuff and how terrible people are on the earth. That is fine. I agree humans are terrible to the earth, but to allow a government to pass a tax that will literally tax everything more shouldnt be based on such flimsy science.
S33K3R · 36-40, F
BTW I am not denying climate change. I am denying human caused climate change. Yeah sure we have a small effect, everything does. But how do these global warming scientists explain increased earthquakes? How do they explain the fact that the cloud coverage is increasing? How do they explain the fact that the low pressure systems seem to be creating record storm surges? How do they explain the fact that this has happened before and is in recorded history? How do they deny that there is an obvious cycle? Why are they trying to force this human driven climate change when there is a history of this climate change happening two times in recorded history?

This is why I am extremely skeptical about global warming research. It is a bunch of time wasted trying to read their stuff when there is an obvious explanation. Also global warming experts dont explain why the earthquakes are increasing along with volcanic activity. I find it hilarious that the research I follow has explained this stuff from 10 years ago yet.... These global warming people just kind of release bogus papers trying to twiddle their thumbs and come up with some excuse why this or that started happening. Its obvious which community has the correct information. One has actual knowledge the other is just trying to get by with flimsy explanations. This earth is actually pretty easy to understand if you just think about it.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@S33K3R They... do explain the science. In great detail. Endlessly. There are probably tens of thousands of full books on the subject.

Look, we're not convincing each other of anything. What I want to leave you with is that the scenario of all the world's scientists being somehow paid actors in a hoax is a ludicrous, impossible conspiracy theory.

Go talk to some of them and find out. They aren't hard to find. Test your arguments. Find some counter-arguments that claim to debunk what you believe, and see if they pass muster.
S33K3R · 36-40, F
Hold up. What is your "friends" name? I want to see their stuff. I hear back pedaling.
