Lol, the population would drop considerably. And there’d be fewer so-called “pro-lifers”.

@bijouxbroussard Why?
bijouxbroussard · F
@Quizzical Because you wouldn’t be able to just “hit and run”.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard And women would never do that sort of thing?? lol
bijouxbroussard · F
@Quizzical It’s a risk for women. It hasn’t been for men.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard And it would be the reverse, and would always have been.
So the situation would be the same.

@Quizzical No, it wouldn’t, because men are still more casual about sex than women overall. So men’s attitudes would have to change considerably.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard If, from the start of time, men were the ones to give birth then the respective attitudes would have been reversed too...
They are pretty much intrinsically linked to the biology.
As I say. Nothing would change. It would just be reversed roles.

@Quizzical If it had been so from the beginning of time, and men were also physically weaker and had a different sexual drive maybe. But that would be a lot of “ifs”. The only premise has been men and childbirth.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard There have to be other factors taken into account though.
If we merely say that men now give birth then the population would be wiped out because men don't have the capacity or biology to do so and would all die attempting to give birth.
So, we have to say that men would have always given birth from the beggining.
Which leads naturally to psychological changes to accompany the primary and secondary physical changes.
In essence, men become women and vice versa...

@Quizzical When these type of “what if” questions are asked, I often imagine just that situation.
Imagine we all woke up tomorrow with men physically capable of giving birth and women no longer being able. It doesn’t address the previous roles of men and women socially, but it’s simply a biological change. That may or may not have been what the OP was considering, but it’s probably what some of us were thinking when we replied.
