i agree [b]CONVICTED[/b] rapists should be executed but not by the victim. they have enough to deal with. when you take a life no matter what the reason, you pay a price mentally, spiritually and psychologically.

No. Sure, severe crimes, including rape deserve to have the proven guilty perpetrator put down, for the sake of the safety of the community. But I don't see any vengeance in this.. It can be painless and quick.. But a community should not have to tolerate or support people who behave in that manner toward it. The rights of the community to safety from these people should supersede the rights of the criminal. How much did Manson cost the community in jail?
