My mum raised us, 11 of of us, after my dad ran off with a younger woman. She's my hero, couldn't fault her.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@Zygote404 11??? Wow!
Raising that many kids is really a work-out and accomplishment. Your mom is awesome!
Zygote404 · 51-55, M
@Phire1 She is thank you much :)
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@Zygote404 I've raised two sons. Only two kids was hard...

indyjoe · 56-60, M
Too numerous to mention them all actually. They were too busy supporting their "golden child"...my adopted brother (and still are/do).They don't even as much as give me a call to wish me a happy birthday (because they 'forgot'), but they never forget to travel 50 miles to take him out to dinner for his. Does this give you some idea?
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@indyjoe Hugs to you!
indyjoe · 56-60, M
@BiKeyWest You just described me...the only exception was I wasn't the one with anger issues, I was just always jealous of him (according to them). My dad likes to tell the "story" of how they had him sleeping on the sofa as a baby and I jerked him off into the floor. I have a lot of memories from when I was 4-5 years old but I have no recollection whatsoever of that one (because it never happened)...he even told that one to my wife when she came to dinner the first time when we were dating.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@indyjoe He may think it happened that way, but I don't think that was an appropriate story to tell your wife
No,I was spoiled and got everything I wanted.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@FreeSpirit1 Just because you said it that way.

I wasn't spoiled at all
@Phire1 I was an only child and my dad spoiled me,at the time I didn't think I was spoiled but I see it now.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@FreeSpirit1 I am glad that your dad did so!
What would you have like to have played, Phire?
Phire1 · 51-55, F
[@EugenieLaBorgia) A lot of Rock music, some Metal at that time, and then moved on to lighter sounds....
JK7452 · 31-35, F
I wish my parents had supported some of my previous relationships
snowangelashley · 26-30, F
I feel so deprived. The only times my parents didn't support me were times when it turned out they were right all along. God, I hate having great parents! I can't blame them for anything that goes wrong in my life!
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@snowangelashley That is true...
snowangelashley · 26-30, F
@Phire1 I'm waiting for them to develop some kind of brain implant that gives me instant guitar playing ability! lol....
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@snowangelashley LOL - I wish!

@BiKeyWest I have osteoarthritis now. Sucks ass!
I see your point very well.
Cortisone shots don't help?
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@BiKeyWest That is horrible to have that health issue at such a young age
Crickets · 46-50, F
Allowed me to be a fighter jets pilot in the Air Force.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@Crickets That's interesting.
Why is it that your parents held you back from that?
Crickets · 46-50, F
@Phire1 Desert Storm was brewing when I actually signed in the military. I was 17 when I graduated so needed my dad's approval. He wouldn't sign me in for what I wanted.
jackson55 · M
My parents wanted me to play the piano and so I did. But at 14 a friend loaned me a guitar and I never looked back. Practice, practice, practice 3/4 hours a day for 25 years one can get pretty good at it. Yes, I still play the keyboard but guitar is my favorite.
iwritestories · 41-45, F
I wish I had parents
Phire1 · 51-55, F
iwritestories · 41-45, F
no biggie, I'm happy now
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@iwritestories I'm glad to hear that!
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
Sports. Definitely sports. And school. My parents didn't really care about anything except God. Turns out, God doesn't dish out many physical or intellectual outlets or money or education. They supported me meh'ly, but they never acted like anything really mattered.

I was elite. At 14, I was benching 175, and deadlifting 350, weighing 136. I could have gone far. But the parents fucked too many things up.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@Tatsumi That damn "fools ball"... haha... just kidding!
If you don't mind my asking, what religion are your parents?

Also, you can still do what you want
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
@Phire1 They're Christian. I can, but it is just unfortunate to me that so much potential was wasted. And, my prime is just about burned out, anyway.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@Tatsumi You appear young still
