I was kicked out of the house for a week at a time when I was your age. To top it off my mom locked my bank account and disable my lawn mower so I couldn't cut grass to make money and then tipped off all my friends parents so I wasn't allowed at my friend's houses either.
Left me stuck sleeping in parks surviving on school lunches and using the school gym showers that most kids didn't use for my personal hygiene with no private stall or nothing.

In my times, it would be to not allowed him to hand up with friends for a certain time. Nowadays, take away his phone. I agree with @Intensecookie
