Baby keeps getting sick, I keep missing work

Just had a baby 5 months ago.. I took a 9 week maternity leave.. I’ve taken off a few sick days. I think this is my fourth total.. but the truth is, my daughter has been really sick each time, and a couple times, I’ve been sick WITH her.. my work place hardcore frowns on being sick.. I’ve got the FMLA to be sick, but I know it’s held against me with being promoted and what not.. today when I called in sick my boss didn’t even reply (it was through text) .. I’m just at a total loss, and am sitting here with a child, with a 102 degree fever - Afraid and guilty for having called in. Anyone else have any similar experiences during the first year after having had a child? Did it get better? And your kid get sick less? And things get better with work ? Or were you forever labelled unreliable and miss out on promotions? Please tell me your experiences

I would consider talking to whoever is caring for your child to reconsider their hygiene and their own personal health practises. Babies pick up everything when people bring it into the home you can't protect the child from it all but you also don't want the baby going on to antibiotics...
It's a rough period of time. If you can work from home that maybe something to consider as then you can monitor your little one a bit better.
Make sure hands are washed before handling your baby. Everything else clean clothes you'd expect but you can't be too clean.
