What is your opinion on math?

Do you find that math is usefull, and it is something that we can not live like. Do you think it is a devlish device that teacher use to torture their students?
I would love to hear your opinion on math, if you would like to share it.

Basic maths is essential to 'modern life' but not for surviving.

@SW-User I do not think we ever would have evolved and imagrated out of africa! if out ancestors were not hunting! So it is not something that is needed for surviving. However, some would argue it can be essential for surviving certain things! Thanks for you answer! best of wishes

@AllAboutTheFacts fair points, but I'm not convinced we all evolved from Africa, plants and other creatures have evolved without the knowledge of maths and indeed survive where we can't. And this of course suggests space travel is the pinnical of evolutionary advancement. Bacteria has been travelling through space for since forever? Lol

@SW-User Oh sorry if made myself unclear, I was thinking the difference of survival and surviving. Since math can help in surviving, not not as much for survival.
Well it is a current theory that bacteria have travelled through space. Another theory that supports that, is the first bacteria to form here was from Mars! Would be hard to know for sure!
