What is your opinion on math?

Do you find that math is usefull, and it is something that we can not live like. Do you think it is a devlish device that teacher use to torture their students?
I would love to hear your opinion on math, if you would like to share it.

I love mathematics. It can explain anything.

@ButterFly2023 Yes indeed! It is to my concern also the best language that we have. Since you can not construe like you would be able to with a english text or a text in latin for instance.
Thanks a lot for taken the time to answer, it is appriciated. Best of wishes

Regards

As a language it can get all over the place. And a lot of it is hard to translate into anything intelligible. And it branches badly. Often too it's hard to explain the relevance of it. I mean its hard to explain why the place getting formula for pi was such an achievement. Or why you can't solve the travelling salesmen problem with brute force, it's easy to explain sort of: you can but it starts taking universal life times, But the why is hard to explain if you're not on board to start with. And there is tricky shit like why there are three possible cube roots for every number which you really need trig to solve. And there is crazy shit like the Collatz conjecture. But you know the Mandelbrot set is always pretty to look at when you're stoned : ) .

Well pi is the circumference of a circle to its diameter! Which is pretty good to know! Circles are a tricky yet wonderful thing. I am not familiar with the travelling salesmen problem. But unsolving problems are not always a bad thing, cause they can show us some stuff. I also like to dwell into false proofs! Not because they are false, or I can correct someone (I am not that fond of doing that). But it helps improve your algebra, and avoid doing the same mistake the false proof did! Yes Mandelbrot set is pretty to look at! some would argue that it is without being stoned!

: ) The collatz conjecture is good fun if you like maths. Simple yet unbelievably complicated once you get in to it.

Well I can also recommend Hilberts hotel paradox! Can also give a bit of understand why pi keeps getting more digits! When applied to a circle the same thing counts!

On to it.
