Can exes stay just friends and do those relationships ruin further relationships with other people

I think if people can redefine their relationship, it can work. With one ex, we keep trying to be friends but it was such a passionate relationship, we don't really know how to be around each other without that being a factor. With others, we parted on bad terms and there's never been forgiveness. But with some, I am good friends. I even went to an exes wedding.

I had very bad breakup with my ex and I suffered for like 2 years from that, now after 5 years of breakup also we two work in same place, nowadays I dont feel anything for him though but I use him alot of time in work since he broke my heart. He is my senior in my workplace but he never say no to me so I butter him with my sweet words telling he is so talented and intelligent hahahhahhah then make him do my share of my work when I get alot of work. Nowadays I use him because he broke my heart and made me cry for years. I am like sweet knife for him nowadays who uses him with my sweet words. 😂

I think there are exceptions to every rule but unless it was a very short relationship, like two months and we realized we were never really a couple, I’d say no. I do think, time can pass and they can have some experiences and then become friends again. Then it’s less likely to have a negative impact on the future relationships.

badapple I guess you can keep in contact with an ex good in a way shows there is no ill feeling but if you have moved on to another relationship your new partner may be ok with maintaining contact but I think that is very rare

I stay in contact with no ex. No advantages whatsoever.
