What is purpose of ...

Moving walkways in an airport. Is it to move faster through the airport or to stand and rest? What do you do?

Me personally ... I use them to move faster.

I think its a bit of both, some airport are really big and most people are carrying luggage so even for people like you (or me) who continue walking on those it would take us longer to get where we are going.

@reflectingmonkey I walk fast. Without the moving walkway I’m usually faster than people on it. So I like it to move. Unless they are standing in my way.
