Shootings of children and adults occur every day, not just in schools. Arming school employees, hardening schools might decrease those shootings, but there will still be more gun-related every day, intentional or unintentional, murder or suicide, than deaths from auto crashes. The common link is the gun. There is no reason for gun manufacturers to produce safer guns, or fewer ones, while autos have annually added safety features to decrease injury.
The 2nd amendment to the USA constitution has limits, no one can buy a howitzer, a bazooka, or grenades and other weapons of war. Why is a citizen permitted to purchase an automatic or semi-automatic weapon?

Have you read it recently? Where pray tell, does it give you the right to.have an automatic weapon? It gives you a right to be part of a standing army. Why not join one?
