@cherokeepatti yes ! Exactly what I said

@TexChik how did you take care of the problem?

@cherokeepatti we were at the farm ... having a big party on the Fourth of July there at the request of my husband’s company . Around midnight I went back to the house to check on my little boy and 2 nieces that were watching movies and sleeping over . I unlocked the door
And heard a crash up stairs in my bedroom ... so I shut up there expecting to find a makeup mess . Instead I found a 6’2” 300 pound guy going through my jewelry . I yelled at him to stop while I was about to draw my pistol but he was too close and charged me swinging his fists . I’ve been a black belt for 14 years and I kick box... everything seemed like slow motion and the things I did in response to his actions worked ! In what was probably 3-4 seconds he was down holding his groin and his nose . I drew my weapon then and called my husband for help . He had blood on his arm and I thought he had hurt the kids and I was going to kill him but they came out from down the Hall woken up
By the noise . The perp has cut his arm breaking the glass on a back window to gain entry .

@TexChik did he get prison time? I hope he did.

@cherokeepatti he was the son of the man that owns the big oil co my husband works for . He showed up sruvingva big RV. We thought it was eccentric , but found out it was to hide his son, who was a drug addict and repeat criminal . He didn’t notify us he was there, had no security badge ... he was ashamed of him so he wanted to hide him out in the RV fir the party , and then leave the next morning . Anyway he went to a lock in 12 mo rehab and he had to take care of us . So no I didn’t file charges...

@TexChik wow, you could have shot that guy in self-defense and then what would the oil company owner done after that? Was he baby-sitting that son to keep him out of trouble or hiding from the law? Wow...if he had money he should have hired someone to watch him, not bring trouble to your farm.

@cherokeepatti we had Nanny cams ... he initially fired both of us ! I am a consultant for them and I have my practice . So I told him to stfu and sit down and watch and listen . He saw his an break in, steal meds from the bath room and me confront him
And his attack . Then I explained all the things wrong he did as the father and the employer . He cried! Told me the story about the hell he had been through with his son ... and the embarrassment . He was upset because my husband punched him out when he ran up the stairs , off duty sheriffs right behind him . But he understood we only saw a criminal , and had no idea who he was . He left the next day ... the rehab came and got the son ... and cuffed him...he signed off on all of that . The father apologized , wrote out a big check , and thanked me for talking him
Out of another mistake . We kept our jobs and I told him ( because my hubby wa afraid to) that there would never be another company party at our farm ( 3rd. One ). He agreed ...

@TexChik wow fired you both, that's pure crap...glad he changed his mind. He could have had his pants sued off for firing you for that.
