Has anyone else not have had their wisdom teeth pulled?

I was talking to some clown 🤡 I work with ( he’s annoying) lol and asked him why he wasn’t at work for the last 3 days. He said he had his wisdom teeth pulled , he’s 26 and I said how painful was it? He asked me well don’t you know? I said no, I’ve never had mine pulled ( I’m in my late 30’s) they never bothered me. He couldn’t believe it. I’m like WTF is it really that odd?

I had the left ones out when I was young. They were impacted. The right ones I kept for years. I didn't have any problems for a long time, but eventually they became a trap for food and germs. My gums were always inflamed. Once they were out, the gums healed. I think that's one of the reasons that we are encouraged not to keep them because the problems I had were not uncommon. If they aren't causing you any problems, leave well enough alone. Another thing I've heard before is that hygienists hate them because they are difficult to clean around. LOL

@vader2112 dude, you’re obviously an expert on this subject I learned a lot from what you said. I guess I’m not out of the woods yet but I don’t have a high pain threshold so if I ever get even a warning sign those mofo’s are getting yanked

@GBPackersFan Thank you for the compliment, but I'm not expert. I just paid attention to what hygienists and dentists said over the years. I'm glad it was helpful! For the impacted teeth, I was put under general anesthesia. For the other side, just novocaine. It wasn't that bad, but I tool the afternoon off work and rested.
