I have been struggling with CPTSD for 20 years now. I heard/read all sorts of motivational words, had so many types of treatments, so many medications and doses, so many changes in life... Nothîng is true or works for everyone except that those with more love in their lives tend to cope best eventually.

@SW-User We all have our good and bad days. I am learning to accept my messed up parts. 🤗

@Miram Real love my friend is the love you find for yourself, which is within yourself. No one will ever love you, me or the next person as much as we love them or the same as we love them or they love us. It will always be different. No love is ever the same, not even close. So don't chase that love, but love what you have now & find that within your ownself. That is when we become whole & not need another but want for another. There is such a big difference & so many people really miss why we are here....on this Planet. It's not to seek but to know. Not to take, but to give. If we take, then be sure to give back in some way. Simple

@Wolfdancer I don't think you can know without seeking. Or give without taking.

I grew up in a very cruel context. I am very sure that most wouldn't be able to understand how to love others in a healthy manner if they were never loved to begin with. So I don't see those as seperate at all but in matter of priorities I do agree to an extent.

Who do you think has "More Love" in their lives and copes better because of that? Personally, I think most of us fail to realize just how loved we are, by those we might not know yet, yet base our worth on who or who does not love us. Thus, my previous comment...Real Love is the love you find for yourself, WITHIN yourself. When you can do that, THEN MAYBE you can have a healthy love.

@Wolfdancer By love I meant support. Those suffering from CPTSD who have more support in their lives tend to get better, yes.

Whereas you maybe able to imagine a person with a background in a warzone, living in violence, growing up unloved and taught to hate and destroy finding healthy self love all on their own, I can't really do that. And couldn't do it in the past. Maybe I am just a loser like that 🙂

Apparently, you're totally misunderstanding me
Miram · 31-35, F
@Wolfdancer Of course I am. I am always the problem ^__^
Wolfdancer · 56-60, F
I did not say you were the problem. I feel misunderstood is what I meant to say. But ok whatever
