I'm about to go insane... 😠

Can the neighbors not hear their f*cking dog that has been barking nonstop for the last 5 hours? Every second since I have been home, that's all I've heard. Constant barking projecting over the TV, dinner conversation, music while showering! There's no end!

Finally while I was in my bedroom grabbing some pjs.. I'd heard enough. I ran to the back door, flung it open and screamed "shut up" like some crazy woman.... forgetting I only had a small towel wrapped around me from just stepping out of the shower. 🙄 Pretty sure I was in clear sight of everyone on my street while I'm standing under my porch light bellowing at the top of my lungs. All for 30 seconds of silence as the damn thing is still barking. Ugh! 😡

Make a 24-hour recording of the dog's barking and give it to your neighbours with a print out of professional dog trainer's advice on how to stop barking.
I found this:
http://m.humanesociety.org/animals/dogs/tips/how_to_stop_barking.html

Use "I" language:
"When your dog barks I cannot sleep.
Lack of sleep makes me irritable and affects my safety as a driver and my performance at work.
I would really appreciate it if you could do something to stop your dog barking."

It likely that most of your other neighbours feel the same way, so you could consider getting them to sign a petition.

Barking can be due to boredom, loneliness, separation anxiety or too much energy from lack of exercise.
The dog should have another dog as a companion.
Should go for at least one hour-long walk every day.
Should have toys to play with and bones to chew.
Could be closed in a quiet room, like the laundry, at night.

If your approach does not work, consider using earphones with the music of your choice.

@hartfire that's perfect, thank you for your response. I'm definitely going to ask the other neighbors if they're equally irritated since this isn't the first or second time this has happened. It's becoming a daily occurrence.
:) Thank you!
