Chores while staying with mom after newborn?

Husband and i just had a baby a week ago. Thought staying with my mom was a good idea but now she’s like.. asking us to do a bunch of chores.. carry these Christmas gifts upstairs, go get more fire wood, wrap these presents, put lights on the 10 foot Christmas tree, NOT exaggerating. I tried to tell her we’ve had a long week and she looked at me like i had three heads. I think she’s thinking we owe her for staying here.. I’m 30 years old. I get that when i was a kid coming home for Christmas break this was acceptable.. but here we are married, had major surgery and a baby a week ago. Have been up all day and night with husband taking care of baby I think it’s wrong. Was supposed to stay longer but am thinking about nicely deciding to go back home. She isn’t helping us with the baby at all. Thoughts ?
