Where can you dispose of car batteries and gasoline

Cleaning out my garage and stupid POS previous house owner left everything in a crappy state, dumb ass even left an old car battery next to I'd gasoline, right by paint and other flammable objects a few feet from the gas line.

Anyone know where to get rid if them?

used to be you could take an old car battery to a junk yard and they would pay you for it. Copper is valuable or at least it used to be. Where I live I take old batteries back to the dealership for a refund or I take them to the Eco-station where they take them free of charge along with paint.
