Hooking up is grody. What's the point of having sex with someone you have no emotional attachment to, risk yourself getting STDs and whatever else. You don't even know who you're really hooking up with. Now more than ever thanks to Tinder, Grinder, and all of those other apps everyone is hooking up all the time and disgustingly enough "slut shaming" is an actual thing. People you meet could be crazy stalkers, they might be unstable, or into some shady shit. All in all seems like a waste of time. Sex is a function to procreate. I feel like it should be done with someone you have feelings for. It's meaningful, it's powerful and should be treated as such.

There's no emotional connection to be had with sex. So that's not really a concern.

There's nothing special about it, nothing holy or sacred as religious people tell you, nothing hot or sexy about it, there's no emotional connection or love. It's scientific, it's biological, and it shouldn't be an important part of the human experience.

How do you not think the power to create LIFE is something special. That alone tells me you have a lot of growing to do.
Your offspring is a literal piece of you that lives on after you die (not taking into account time and unforeseen occurrence)
Are you telling me you would be happy if the first child you had was a result of a hookup? That half of that child's DNA belongs to a stranger you used for a quick sexual fix and not to someone who you thought the world of?
When people go around with your mindset it adds to the epidemic of children who don't have both parent's or end up in foster care (as I was)
You can have feelings for someone but it doesn't mean you want kids.
Personally, I don't want any kids ever, but the person I'm dating if I did end up pregnant I would be fine with that because this is someone that I love and see myself being with for a long time.
Also, I'm not religious in the slightest. In my life I form and find my own truths without the pressure of ANYTHING or ANYONE in society.

Every other living creature in existence has the same ability. Bacteria and viruses can reproduce too. It’s not as if sex andresylting pregnancy and childbirth are special to us.
I don’t have sex with anyone because I don’t want to have a child, but if my first child were the result of a hookup, why would I care? So long as they’re born healthy and have a good environment to grow up in, I don’t see the problem. Primates typically raise their offspring in bonded pairs and groups of course, but they don’t insist on getting to know each other before they have sex.

No actually when people go around with my mindset it results in no children being born at all because my mindset is that sex is generally a waste of time.
