can anyone tell me, what's so special about the fidget spinners?

Nothing is really special about them. They're kinda fun to play with for a few minutes but I have no clue how they became a meme.

I don’t know I’m getting sick and tired of seeing them in the stores. It doesn’t even have a logical purpose. What kind of moron names their product a fidget spinner? It’s sounds like a euphemism for a dong.
