Do you equate greediness with evil?

Even lower levels of greed? Someone I know has more money than I'll ever dream of having. Doesn't want to jeopardize her credit card by using it online, wants me to put cash in my account (Her cash) and use my computer and my checking/debit card to purchase things for her. Put my foot down this time, I fell for it a few months ago and what a hassle. I only write 4-5 checks a month and do sometimes buy online through Paypal, but her using my account to do her business not caring if she jeopardizes my account seems evil to me.

Tell her to get Debt card with just enough to cover her online stuff or...

A low limit secured credit card.

This last might actually be better for her if she has just around 250 to play with. Should increase her credit score if she doesn't have a lot of cards already. Also secured cards usually have a low interest rate. Something around 10%.

@Fernie She had a friend over at her house, heard her talking to him. I wanted to pop off and ask her why she didn't get him to do it.

@cherokeepatti she really is toxic...you're a lot more forgiving than I am...I would not have anything to do with her

@Fernie She knows I'm pissed, left no doubt.

Tell her to get herself a gift card at the supermarket. That's what I do.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@hunkalove I already told her off. She caught me at a bad moment and I'm sooooo happy she did. I was having stomach cramps, don't mess with me when I'm having them. I told her she had over 4 months to figure out her phone's "problem" and if she couldn't get it straightened out to go buy herself an Ipad or Computer and use that for her business. Sheesh, I don't want to be involved in anyone else's financial or buying business. She wanted to use my Amazon account. She could have said "Can I use your computer to set up an Amazon account so I can order something from them and use my credit card there?" But no she also wanted to use my Amazon account to order stuff, which meant I'd have to be home to accept delivery. If they sent the wrong thing or it was delayed I would have to contact and hassle with them. I would also have to take cash and put in my checking account to cover it. I like to keep my checking account simple as possible.

Well, greed is one of the seven deadly sins. This case seems like more of a money hiding scheme; if she ever got an IRS audit they couldn't trace any purchases to her. You know how they got Al Capone? He had more in dry cleaning and laundry bills than income he claimed!
Fernie · F
that is definitely evil, self serving behavior...nothing good about it...glad you put your foot down.....not hard to see why she has a lot of money
Fernie · F
@cherokeepatti I can't help but wonder patti....what are YOU getting out of this relationship?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Fernie She's a neighbor and she does this random shit.
Fernie · F
@cherokeepatti got it !
fairone · F
I agree.. Its inappropriate for her to impose on u, (over shopping online of all things).. In order to protect herself, not caring if ur jeopardizing urself by helping!
xSharp · 31-35, M
if she has more money than you charge her for "protection" lol
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@xSharp I don't even want to do that, to get her tangled up in my business even a little bit. She can figure out how to take care of her own crap without involving me.
xSharp · 31-35, M
@cherokeepatti but you could buy yourself a new computer and keep charging her to use the one she herself has already compromised! lol
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@xSharp I have a computer and a new Ipad, I don't need money so bad as to be tangled up with her crap
joebeeez · 46-50, M
There is a very distinct connection between the two... yes.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
I would have her pay me in cash to buy it for her.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrBrownstone I don't want to do that. I have to put her money in my checking account. She is making cash money from a job she's had for years and she's probably doing it in part to hide some of her earnings, another thing that irks the crap outta me. No let me put her cash in my account and use my Amazon account to buy her crap. She's in the clear for spending that money.
